New Camera!
I haven’t purchased a digital SLR since my 20D in early 2006. This past Saturday I made the 30 minute trip to Harlingen to pick up the only Canon EOS 550D (Rebel T2i) in the area. I’m going to shoot my next short film with it. It’s awesome. Check out this video clip I shot with it this morning:

Me in "The Battle"
I had no idea “The Battle: Cinco de Mayo” had it’s own little website. While going through the production stills (most was unit photography I did) I came across this screenshot of the actual scene where I appear. The movie was supposedly released in September but I can’t find it anywhere.

House
The two hour season premiere of House aired last night on FOX but I just finished watching it on tape and it’s simply a perfect episode. This season will be amazing.

The Battle is finally "coming soon"
I’ve written about The Battle before, and casually checking Laguna Production’s website, I finally found it listed! Check it out: this link will take you to the movie that I was in.

Star Trek Movie Villains
I was contemplating this list out loud today at Edward so I figured I’d write it down here for posterity. So here is my list of personal favorite [major] villains from the Star Trek feature films, in order, from least to most favorite.

Wishing Tree
This parody of Michael Jackson by Trey Parker on South Park is actually kind of touching in a mean sort of way. The Wishing Tree song from The Jeffersons episode seems to be a riff on Jackson’s single Childhood, however, but this version is not without its charm. I’ve taken it upon myself to learn this one on piano tonight. And I have.

Christian Bale Explodes
Last July, TMZ reported that Christian Bale had an on-set blowup at the DP for Terminator Salvation. The audio recording of that event was released by TMZ today and I have extracted and enhanced the audio below so you can hear as much of the conversation as possible. The parties apparently involved are Bale, cinematographer Shane Hurlbut, ASC, 1st AD and associate producer Bruce Franklin and director McG.
Here’s my enhanced version of the audio — it has not been edited for content or length and it gets pretty rough, so be warned:

Personally, I think Hurlbut should have shut up and not argued with Bale who seemed to be cooling down about half way until the DP opened his mouth again. I also think McG and Franklin were cool under the pressure and were decent at attempting to control the situation. Bale’s a big dude, too, so I would have been like Bryce Dallas Howard (who is obviously present) and stayed quiet and let Bale calm down. I’m actually on Bale’s side here. Well, actually I’m on the director’s side, but…whatever. “Let’s walk for five seconds…”
And for good measure: here’s Bale Out: RevoLucian’s Christian Bale Remix!:
