The audio recording of that event was <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/02/bale-went-ballistic/">released</a> by TMZ today and I have extracted and enhanced the audio below so you can hear as much of the conversation as possible. The parties apparently involved are Bale, cinematographer <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0403397/">Shane Hurlbut, ASC</a>, 1st AD and associate producer <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0291370/">Bruce Franklin</a> and director <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0629334/">McG</a>.</p> <p>Here’s my enhanced version of the audio — it has not been edited for content or length and it gets pretty rough, so be warned:</p> <p><img src="http://blog.impossiblefx.com/wp-content/plugins/flash-video-player/default_video_player.gif" /></p> <p>Personally, I think Hurlbut should have shut up and not argued with Bale who seemed to be cooling down about half way until the DP opened his mouth again. I also think McG and Franklin were cool under the pressure and were decent at attempting to control the situation. Bale’s a big dude, too, so I would have been like Bryce Dallas Howard (who is obviously present) and stayed quiet and let Bale calm down. I’m actually on Bale’s side here.
